Another freezing start but light winds and clear skies soon developed to make the circumnavigation of Kerrera an enjoyable and dramatic day's paddle...

Lunch beneath Gylen Castle, home to the MacDougalls who were slaughtered when it was destroyed in 1647 during the Wars of the Covenant.
The original hearth and fireplace of Gylen Castle, a central feature of the room and no doubt the lives of the MacDougalls also, especially on days as cold as this.
