Seathwaite Circuit

Taking in Great End via Cust's Gully, Allen Crags and Glaramara, the 'Seathwaite Circuit' is a classic Lakeland mountaineering trip.
Approaching Styhead Tarn from Seathwaite.
The first steps that lead to the base of Cust's Gully on Great End.
The upper section of Cust's Gully and the much photographed but no less impressive chockstone behind.
Descending towards Esk Hause from the summit of Great End; Esk Pike the prominent peak behind.
Taking a rest, Derwent Water in the distance.
Approaching Glaramara in failing light, along the undulating and interesting ridge leading from Allen Crags.
Glaramara's summit, Bowfell in the distance and a dramatic sunset which preceded the inevitable descent in the dark down the steep and icy slopes beneath Combe Head.
