Back at Bempton

A longish paddle last August from Bridlington, around Flamborough Head and on to the cliffs at Bempton made enough of an impression to prompt a return visit a little earlier in the year, at just the right time...
...for the puffins...
...the guillemots...
...and of course the gannets.
Two days with little swell, provided a great opportunity to get close to the cliffs amongst the kelp...
...and explore the caves...
...enjoy a little rock hopping...
...pass through narrow arches...
...and sit in quiet contemplation beneath the huge and intricate cliffs both on the water...
...and eventually, as the cliffs gave way to boulder beaches, above the first sands found north of Bempton.
