I'll Bet She Does

Who she was and what she did, I don't know.
You'd have to ask Dave Musgrove jnr. who named this route at Simon's Seat, pictured above, having made the first ascent in '95. At E3 6a I was never going to get that far on it but I had a little fun trying the problematic start before turning my attention to easier offerings.
The rock at Simon's Seat is some of the best moorland grit to be found in the Dales and here, curious protrusions such as these create a number of routes up otherwise blank walls.
It's also a superbly situated crag perched high above the Wharfe valley, appearing in places as though it must be about to give in to gravity, much as I did before very long...
...returning to the valley floor as the sun set.
