The Cheese Press Stone

Taking the rock shoes I had gone to explore the bouldering possibilities on the low limestone edges above Kingsdale near Ingleton. There was little enough of interest but it is a beautiful place to while away a summer evening.
I returned along the edge, dropping back to the valley via the Cheese Press Stone...
...the reason for it's name being more obvious from this angle perhaps. There are many such stones though most are a good deal smaller, scattered along the edge; a reminder of the glacial action which formed these valleys.
A fleeting rainbow frames the view across Twistleton Scar End, towards Ingleborough.
