Cacophony Crack

Sorry: this little gem of a route beneath Rhoscolyn Head was actually named Symphony Crack, but today, Cacophony seemed more apt somehow.
It's one of those superb routes which takes the climber though situations quite outrageous for the grade and whose position above the sea on a day like this, is breathtaking.
Brian scrambling down to the belay...
...before setting an anchor and roping up. Leaning back on the belay, the sea surged below...
...before colliding with the cliffs in a wild crashing cacophony.
A view of Rhoscolyn Beacon as we walked out, pleased to have climbed at last on the cliffs beneath which I have so often paddled.
