Beneath Barden Moor

Falling from Barden Moor towards the Wharfe...
...a diminutive beck swollen by the Autumn rains whose peat stained waters match the leaves...
...through which this heron flew. I waited a while...
...and found him again...
...before following the beck up on to the moors in the soft failing light. Already I think, I am looking forward to spring.

Thanks Mike - What a difficult bird to photograph - Ironic when you consider how adept they are at standing still!
Cheers
