Descent of Dawson Close

Another image I have had in mind for a while, which is proving harder still to get right...
...still, I think it captures something of the feeling of descending Dawson Close above Littondale. More to follow...
Footnote:
Several people have asked me about this image - It's not an effect acheived in photoshop or similar - although it's not that difficult in theory to create. It is done simply by 'zooming in' as the shutter is depressed. In practise one has to experiment a little with shutter speeds / aperture and the composition will probably take a few attempts to get right.

Are you trying to capture that effect in camera, or by post processing?... or a bit of both!

Hi Will,

Great image! It really captures the sped of the descent and "draws" the eye just as if on the bike

Kind Regards

Hi John - it's done by 'zooming in' using a relatively long shutter speed - or just using the smallest aperture possible - F22 I think this was taken at...

Hi Ian - glad you like - sends my eyes a bit funny!

Cheers
