Here today, gone tomorrow...

I don't think I have ever seen such a quantity of snow fall only for it to thaw in less than 24 hours. And with cold winds on the coast, the lakeland gullies buried beneath tons of wet snow and the moorland tracks not even worth thinking about on the bike, I had a 'day off'.
Walking above Conistone - looking out over Grassington Moor.
Above the soft snow's contours, a solitary Hawthorn stretches south with the winds.
Heading down toward the rapidly approaching front bringing warm air and rain - within hours the snow was gone.
