Vagaries of form

A steep climb and fast descent were followed by long carry to reach my evening high point - a world away from the mildly frantic finish to a long week in the office, just a few hours before.
Annoyingly, on familiar trails, I struggled to find my form amongst the fells, but sometimes it is enough just to be there and I stayed until the pastel skies began to darken, before making a fast and rocky run to the valley floor.
