Strans Gill

A minor classic of the genre: 300m or so of scrambling on good quality rock with the odd greasy section to keep you on your toes...
One of the many lovely little pitches of Strans Gill. It will be interesting to see how things look in winter if we get a good freeze. The most difficult, avoidable pitch (Diff) at the top of the gorge, remains a thought provoking challenge; the consequences of a slip from the off-balance, slightly impending corner which must be committed to on holds which lack the positive reassurance of those lower down, out of proportion to its difficulty.
