Sticks Pass - Helvellyn

Sticks Pass - one of the more popular descents in the Lakes and for good reason - gives a varied and fast run down to Ullswater of around 730m with a grandstand view of the eastern fells beyond.
A couple of images from a recent run, after climbing via Keppel Grove to the minor summit of Raise at 883m on the Helvellyn ridge.
Dropping steeply towards the old mine workings...
...this steep corner perhaps the highlight of the entire route...
...which is followed by a tricky run through rocks of all sizes, easiest with more speed than seems entirely sensible at the time.
