In-flight entertainment

Despite a torn hamstring and boiled ankle - accidents and mishaps that cut short our recent trip north - I have managed a couple of good lakeland rides in the last couple of weeks, along with a fair walk a little closer to home in the Dales. Our route took us over Simon's Seat and down into the Valley of Desolation. An intriguing name for a valley that is as diverse in flora and fauna as any in the region. It finished in the rough fields above the River Wharfe, which from April to July are home to the curlews.
I rather liked this shot - our in-flight entertainment on the last yards back to the car.
