Big skies and glassy seas

Unless your objective has a particularly uniform coastline, the circumnavigation of any island of a reasonable size will involve a few crossings. With a coastline of 500km, our intention was to complete this trip with approximately 150km of paddling over four days - one or two crossings were therefore inevitable.
But on evenings such as these - on glassy seas beneath wide Atlantic skies, listening to the blow of an unseen whale far offshore - there is an undeniable magic that makes such paddling a joy. More to follow...
