Layers of The Lakes

It would be premature to give away too much at this stage, suffice to say there is a good reason I have been trawling through images from the Lakeland fells of late. Unrelated to that project, these images all stood out for one reason or another.
All taken while running, climbing or biking, see which you can recognise...above, the view from the ridge of what is perhaps the district's best known mountain.
Legendary fell runner Joss Naylor would recognise this scene in an instant.
And those who have climbed upon Esk Buttress might know this minor summit, never noticed by those who are higher than all else in England.
An unmistakable skyline...
...and from one summit to another, the view across one of the busier valleys in The Lake District.
